Instructions:

Use this calculator to determine the selling price of your skateboards. Fill in the blue fields with your values. The yellow fields show subtotals and totals based on your inputs.

This tool is provided by Open Source Skateboards.


Step 1: Labor Rate

Enter your labor rate

This is the amount you'll pay yourself or an employee.

Use this to account for the overhead associated with labor - a value between 2 and 3 is recommended. This covers things like taxes, hiring, training, employee support, etc.

Your actual cost of labor.


Step 2: Major Equipment

Enter in the costs of your high-value equipment:

How much electricity, water, etc. used per month to make boards.

Website fees, software fees, any other subscriptions.

This is how much you need to charge per board to cover just your space/operations expenses.
